>Why doesn't WWE get rid of the whole face/heal system?
Heels keep getting over while faces keep getting heat. Instead of building up matches around the whole good guy vs. bad guy dynamic why doesn't WWE make the stories based on competition for the championship belts and allow more face vs. face and heel vs. heel matches. It would largely reduce the predictability of the matches and allow wrestlers to get naturally get over on personality and performance instead of we picked this guy you all have to like him/her because this is the story we're making. Example: tonights women's title match could have been a whole lot better if they didn't have the whole good girl vs. bad girl bullshit. The match literally went heel eliminated, face eliminated, heel eliminated, face eliminated, heel eliminated. The wrestlers also teamed up by alignment. As soon as Alexa Bliss got pinned you knew a face was going to win. It almost felt like a 6 person elimination tag match because not once did a face attack a face or a heel attack a heel (the closest we got was Alexa Bliss trying to pin Natty and Carmella.) The face/heel dynamic also made the tag matches completely fucking predictable because your knew The Usos were winning because they were heels so they could lose to slater/rhyno the faces. The whole tag tournament was face/heel up until the finals when it was supposed to be american alpha vs. slater and rhyno, then they rebooked it for for a face/heel finish. If American Alpha were to take on slater/rhyno the match would have been less predicable because there would be people behind both teams instead of just one.

BUT HOW WILL WE KNOW WHO TO CHEER FOR AND WHO TO BOO?!?!??!?!??!
They got rid of the heel face dynamic 5 years ago when rock came back
>>1745916
>got rid of the heel/face dynamic
CHEER REIGNS DAMMIT
>>1745921
When exactly did that happen? He beat the shit out of Daniel Bryan and went full lesser on him giving him 10 suplexes. He rekt the club and be a the shit out of aj every week. He sabotaged triple hs suv to beat the shit out of him. He superman punched a 70 year old man and speared a woman
The women thing had Becky written all over it, on the basis she's the only female over right now.
Not need to get rid of heel/face because you are too blind to get that.
AJ will always get cheered regardless of face or heel, because he's GOAT.
>>1745925
None of that is heelish in Vince's mind.
WWE spent literally the entirety of 2015 and everything up to his suspension in 2016 attempting every trick in the playbook to get Reigns cheered.

Wrong

>Becketty
>over
El oh el

Becky and Naomi fought. Two faces.
Natty attacked Bliss. Two heels.
You're an absolute fucking idiot.
Wrestlers getting booed or cheered has NOTHING to do with whether they're a heel or face.
Here's how it goes:
Bad performers get booed.
Good performers get cheered.

Oh, by all means, you feel free to elaborate on your position.

Sorry you don't listen anon. She got the biggest pop of the night when smack down came to my city.

Except thats only moderately true in this era. It has never been like that before. Today people cheer/boo to try and 'go against the system" and the casual fans just kinda follow along. Thats why Roman is still booed. Casuals dont know why he's being booed but they see smarks do it and figure its what's right.
>>1746225
I'm pretty sure the "casuals" are booing Reigns 'cause they don't like him and think he sucks.
>>1745288
Because that would be the smart thing to do
>>1746270
WWE being unable to work alignments properly is not the fault of the concept.
>>1746225
>Casuals dont know why he's being booed
lol yes they do.

PG era is over. This is the Reality era. Everything's meta now in response to Cena spending a decade as the top face and as the top heel simultaneously.
Reigns was "booked as a face" specifically to draw heel heat. Goldust coming out at the Rumble immediately after Bryan got eliminated really should be enough to clue you in on this. The fact that Roman Reigns flipped off the camera midpromo a handful of times last year really should have driven the point home. Hell, look at New Day's entire booking history while I try to figure out whether or not their heels again.
Not to say that real faces and real heels are gone entirely. Rusev is keep tradition alive.

>WWE being unable to work alignments properly is not the fault of the concept.
It is when the fans attitude towards such a concept changes. And it isn't limited to WWE either: In New Japan a guy like Naito is regularly cheered by the crowd despite the fact that he's meant to be a heel.

>Reigns was "booked as a face" specifically to draw heel heat. Goldust coming out at the Rumble immediately after Bryan got eliminated really should be enough to clue you in on this.
So does that tinfoil slow-cook your brain or is it more of a flash-fry thing?

P.S. New Day have been faces since March
>>1746272
It becomes a problem because they can't get the "right people" over so the archetypes make sense. If they did, we wouldn't have a problem here. The baby/heel thing is something the fans have been fighting, therefore they should change their concept. They're clearly incapable of pulling it off.

Naito is a heel who admits that he loves getting cheered and is never a dick to fans, it's not really the same at all.
Also, he gets cheered because he's ~tranquilo~

Jesus you're stupid
WWE had made heels the entertaining characters for years and faces bland and boring. There's nothing wrong with the face/heel dynamic it's just WWE can't book shit properly and doesn't adjust when they should.
