WWE's had eight 4.5 star matches this year. Let's talk about them.
>Fastlane: Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar
>NXT Takeover Dallas: Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
>Extreme Rules: The Miz vs. Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
>Extreme Rules: AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns
>Cruiserweight Classic: Kota Ibushi vs. Cedric Alexander
>Battleground: Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
>NXT Takeover Brooklyn II: Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder vs. Johnny Gargano and Tamaso Ciampa
>Summerslam: AJ Styles vs. John Cena
How do you rank them? What's your favorite one? Least favorite? Any deserve to be higher? Any deserve to be lower?
None deserve a rating that high except maybe Nakamura vs Zayn. They were all really good matches though
>m-m-m-muh m-meltzer
back to /wooo/
>>1662709
Not even AJ/Cena? Might just be cause it's new but I feel like that's the best singles match of the year.
>MUH HIGH RATED MATCHES
nakamura zayn is probably the best, I can't imagine that not winning match of the year
>>1662699
AJ's Payback match was better than Extreme Rules imo.
>>1662699
>Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar
was this really that good? I skipped fastlane because I knew it was just gonna be another one (1) spear dealio
>le meltz
>>1662731
No
It was your typical triple threat match, as in copying Benoit-HHH-HBK spot for spot and failing miserably
Not to mention the ending of the match was laughably bad
>>1662731
It was a really good match with a classic Gotta Make Roman Look Really Strong finish.
Zayn v Nakameme wasn't five? Not even a fedora and I thought that was the MOTY.
>>1662699
>WWE's had eight 4.5 star matches this year.
>he trust mememelz
Let me guess , do you re from /woo/?
>>1662713
Cena's matches are quite formulaic. Still really good but they lack the spark to go into that true top tier.
>>1662699
Zayn vs Nakamura was shit.
>>1662852
How so?
>>1662699
Wait the fuck
Ambrose-HHH at roadblock wasn't 4.5? Neither was Ciampa-Gargano?
>>1662867
Boring vanilla midget and meme kicky gook
Extreme Rules: AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns is one of the best matches ever of all time
>Sami Zayn in 3 of them
>relegated to PPV pre-show duty
>>1662886
>Fed to Rollins on RAW so Big Cass can be in the Fatal Four Way
They're not gonna realize what they have with this guy 'til it's way too late.
>>1662906
No one gives a fuck about this boring muslim cab driver. If people gave a shit about match quality then NJPW would be popular. No one gives a fuck about 'work rate' and 'wrestling', fucking smark.
>>1662906
That's their entire plan dude, don't you see?
They want Bryan 2.0, so they're going to shit on him as much as they shit on Bryan until the crowd has the same reaction they did for him.
>>1662914
why are you so angry
>>1662914
18+
>>1662916
I guess. I hope Sami's brain doesn't give out.
>>1662931
He doesn't do diving headbutt so he should be ok
>>1662914
>watches wrestling
>doesn't care about the wrestling
Go and watch soap operas with your mom instead if you desperately want to see terrible acting and even worse writing, ya sissy.
>>1662943
>watches mandrama
>cares about the fake fighting
just go watch UFC instead with your wife's son instead
>>1662731
The one with Brock, Cena and Rollins was miles better.
>>1662871
This.
That match gave me hope for Ambrose.
ITT:
>literally all meme matches
>>1662731
No. Very overrated
>>1662699
I really don't give a shit about what Meltzer thinks of matches. However, that fatal 4 way was pretty based. Reigns/Ambrose/Lesnar was a total fucking let down. Cena/Rollins/Lesnar was a way better triple threat.
>>1662699
Sami vs KO is the best of them all.
>>1662871
Ambrose HHH could have been 4.75. It's as good a match as Dean will have unless AJ really brings the best out of him.
>>1662872
BUZZ
>>1663154
LIGHT
>>1662712
Dont respect Melzer? Why bother to answer to this thread, you big dummyhead?
>>1662731
It was a piss poor match and is genuinely retarded. Reigns going from getting beat with a fucking metal chair to just standing up and winning the match genuinely pissed me off. I know wrestling can be dumb sometimes, but that match really crossed a line.
Wish Sami would hit the weights and get a character.
Could be GOAT
Cena/AJ was my favorite. Great match with a good finish.
Course we still got to wait for Balor/Rolin II....
>>1662699
>Fastlane: Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar
didn't see it. I thought the general consensus was that it was boring and forgettable. off names alone it's pretty hype though
>NXT Takeover Dallas: Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
>Extreme Rules: The Miz vs. Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
>Extreme Rules: AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns
>Cruiserweight Classic: Kota Ibushi vs. Cedric Alexander
All deserving of at 4-4.5 stars
>Battleground: Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
maybe 3.5
>NXT Takeover Brooklyn II: Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder vs. Johnny Gargano and Tamaso Ciampa
>Summerslam: AJ Styles vs. John Cena
probably the best on the list
what about american alpha? they had some great matches on nxt
>>1662916
Don't you mean Austin 3.0
>>1663227
the dallas one was for sure at least 4 stars.
>>1662699
Sami Zayn, AJ Styles, and Roman Reigns confirmed for A+ workers
>>1662699
>NXT Takeover Dallas: Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
>Extreme Rules: AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns
>Cruiserweight Classic: Kota Ibushi vs. Cedric Alexander
>NXT Takeover Brooklyn II: Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder vs. Johnny Gargano and Tamaso Ciampa
>Summerslam: AJ Styles vs. John Cena
Literally the only ones that should be on the list.
>>1662699
>Meltzer's indie wetdream Nakamura, Styles, and Ibushi wasn't able to a 5 star match in WWE
Face it Meltzer has some severe yellow fever.
>>1663287
What this mark said
>>1662914
But NJPW is popular. Just not with autists and contrarians obviously
>>1663287
this
KO vs Sami can close but it was only a solid 4 or a 4.25 to me
the other two aren't even close though
>>1662699
I still think Nakamura vs Zayn should've been a flat 5. It told a perfect story, built the ring-work incredibly, was bookmarked by two historic events in NXT (biggest signing ever entering, the guy who built the brand leaving)
