As a counter-example to this worship of the accomplished fact - and particularly pertinent because you brought up Jericho's podcast - remember the interview with Broken Matt Hardy, entirely in character? That stood out. It elevated a guy who has basically no machine behind him and helped to lift the ratings of the show featuring him.
