Ok, I haven't watched pro wrestling in fucking years, and even then it really wasn't much. My whole exposure to wrestling was the Smackdown vs Raw games and I barely ever watched the live shows. But recently I've been seeing a bunch of stuff about Nakamura and I think I want to get up to speed. What do I need to know, need to watch, need to follow to know what's going on in WWE, Lucha, Jap pros, fucking anything. I want to go balls deep in this rabbit hole.

Start with the NXT Takeover where Neville won the champion off Bo Dallas, that one will be a little meh but it's important that you know Bo Dallas is a real deal wrestler. Then watch every Takeover from then until now. Watch smaller NXT episodes whenever your interested in a certain character.

He's a meme
Lucha underground is the only show with good storylines but it's more like an anime/TV show you should watch from the first ep of season 1. Its probably the closest thing to ae era WWE.
WWE is mostly boring beyond reading results and occasional matches. Same with TNA but the broken matt stuff is good.
Watch NJPW if you care about shit like wankrate. I don't watch it beyond occasional clips.

if you need to watch one Nakamura match, watch AJ Styles vs Nakamura in Wrestlekingdom 10 which is NJPW version of Wrestlemania.

It's not even close to AE. If you're looking for a bazillion segments, focus on characters rather than matches, and tits and ass - that's TNA.
