The move to WWE was a fatal mistake. WCW built him up beautifully as an unstoppable monster then when he came to WWE he was booked strong for a little bit and then buried because Vince doesn't like it when guys come in already over.

Also I've heard from multiple shoots that even though he was a decent guy backstage, in the ring he was pretty stiff and unsafe.
