>professional wrestling
>a sport
I love pro wrestling and watch it daily but this ridiculous idea needs to die.
Professional wrestling has more in common with Saturday Night Live and Cirque du Soleil than it does with the Olympics.

Whether or not you consider pro wrestling a sport has a lot to do with whether you consider cheerleading, figure skating, gymnastics and the like sports. They aren't direct competition, they're more of athletic exhibitions, but depending on how you define "sport" that may or may not matter. My opinion is, if the 6'8" steroid monster in front of me says it's a sport, then by God it's a fucking sport.

But those things you just listed are direct competitions in the sense there are judges giving scores and the winner is not predetermined.

Vince is the one judging wrestling. Technically the fans' voices are supposed to always be in promoters' ears, but Vince has his earplugs in when it comes to Roman "Bring In Cousin Dwayne When The Fans' Boos Cause Pain" Reigns in particular and other superstars more generally.

You can't take it that far. If you do that you have to consider the producers casting movies roles to be a sport, and that is ridiculous.
