ITT we discuss "it" what is "it" how do

"It" is the X Factor; Something that simultaneously IS the sum of all the parts that make up a perfomer while also NOT being just that sum and, instead, being something... "More", someything greater than just that sum.

This is basically my general approach to the concept of "Talent"; "It" would, maybe, be an incredible amount of Talent.

Talent is the inhibitor and the provider for Skill; "It" is, maybe, when there is effectively no limit for Skill, in combination with amazing levels of charisma, entertaining personality and speaking ability.

"It" could be identified by putting the subject into either an ideal or horrible situation; In the case if the former, someone with "It" will reach new, never-before-seen heights while in the case of the latter someone with "It" will make the best if a bad situation and somehow make gold out of nothing.

For another metaphor: You either give the subject the ball and see what they do with it or you take away the ball entirely yet still task them to dribble with it.
