Stuff like the Fire Dragon Law Enforcement vest is a solid start. Not molle or rails, just buttons and velcro. It's late 80s into the 90s in terms of chic, but it gets the job done, especially if you pick up a G&P XM177e or an MP5 with the Future Energy handguard to go with it.

Because, nimrod, this is for the most part real gear being used for a sport that uses pellet guns. The "fake" gear is just civvie-spec Chinese copies of mil-spec gear. All this gear is used to play the sport, and make it the most fun for that person. If you can't understand that, best just hide the thread in the catalog - it's even titled for you to properly filter it - and find a thread that's more your speed.

Really, until very recently, SWAT equipment was all over the place. If you want to do a specific impression, the best idea is to look at SWAT teams from certain cities from their respective eras and build based on that look. At the right surplus stores you should definitely be able to dig up old police vests to build your kit from.

It's working out very well. It only holds four in the front but there's tons of mollee realestate for other pouches.

I would advise trying to find one with a back pannel, because it sits quite low for me without one installed.

I was actually thinking of getting one with a full backpanel that has a pouch for hydration carry. I mostly want a backpanel for the looks but I guess having it sit better on my body would help.

Too bad the Legat only holds 4 but I probably probably won't need anymore than that for most games I play. I'm also trying to build a modern Russian infantry kit with all that fancy Ratnik shit as well. But since I'm a fucking crazy retard I also decided that having some SPOSN gear would also be nice for other types of kits.

Also its really cool you have stuff from your Great Grandfather. I recognized the cap from your picture and figured it wasn't coincidence that someone would randomly have a portrait painting of a man that uniform in their home. In my opinion the US Army 1902 Dress Uniforms are probably the best looking dress uniforms the US military ever had.

Yeah the Legat is good for a direct action type setup.

Honestly I threw a big ass Condor GP pouch on there and I can stuff another 4 in it. If you consider the fact that emergency reloads are the only ones you'll need to get to the mags quickly for, carrying additional mags in a general pouch or something isn't that big of a deal, just make sure your front 4 are always stocked.

Well I had a plan to build two loadouts. The one with the Legat as the main and a full modern Ratnik one. The Legat was going to be my rig for CQB games and ones that dont require more than 5 magazines at any given time.

I was going to basically build my legat setup into something you might see on people running NATO or American kits which has battle belts that carry additional pouches and mags on it. SPOSN makes some battle belt type gear but I don't know how great they are.

If you're wondering why I'm doing this for a 'Russian loadout' its because a lot of SPOSN gear like the Legat isn't that distinctly Russian looking. Since all my buddies I airsoft with only want to run with their NATO kits for bigger games/milsim I figured it would be easier to throw SPOSN gear over some multicam than try to explain why I'm wearing multicam with digiflora gear. Weird but I think it would work out alright.
