If they paid everyone the same, the people who draw less would become expendable, i.e. too tempting to fire at the drop of a hat since they mean nothing and sap your money. It isn't viable for that reason. If you don't pay them much, the incentive is there to keep them around.

Some are better at accomplishing what losing is supposed to accomplish than others (Ziggler is better at this than Ryback). Some are better at accomplishing what winning is supposed to accomplish (literally everyone is better at this than Roman). Some people are just outright better at getting the audience absorbed in the match through the way they work the match.

So yes, some people should get paid more than others. I don't think the WWE has a fucking clue how to do that properly, and giving out winning bonuses like it's a legit competition is absolutely the wrong way to go about it.

Who is an isn't a draw has more to do with booking than wrestling aptitude or natural charisma.

That said, USUALLY a fucking company will try to push the guys with more wrestling aptitude and charisma, because it's much easier that way, and it does make sense to pay them more because they are fundamentally better. THIS fucking company just pushes whoever Vince has an irrational boner for.
