Hey /asp/ I'm trying to find alternative forms of training when it comes to martial arts. Things that could help hand-eye coordination, dexterity ect but that can be practiced outside of standard training(not invloving sparring, pad hitting and technical training). so far i have taken up darts and archery.
Any suggestions?

Start jacking off with your other hand

This.
If you jerk off with just one hand all the time, you're creating muscular imbalances.

practice your martial art more
suprise, there are no shortcuts

>suprise, there are no shortcuts
Some training methods are more efficient for developing certain skills than others.
Surprise, things are more complicated than that.
Once, schools were just expected to read text, and learn.
Now, we know it's best to incorporate a combination of visual, auditory, and tactile methods of learning.
Examples:
Visual
- reading
Auditory
- Lectures
Tactile
- Quizzes

meditate, stretch, maybe handling large numbers bees or spiders so you can train yourself to remain calm in stressful situations.
I mean, what the fuck do you wanna hear? Pick up logs and shit? Break Rocks up with a hammer? I'm not really sure what you want here but it seems like you're actually asking advice on what obscure shit you can do to pass for 'training'

You´re an idiot.
There are realy no shortcuts.A pro gamer and a combatjet pilot have the same reaktion speed.Which is high above the avarage person.Even so this two things are still not comparable.
Why?

Spend a few minutes dunking your head into cold water every morning while remaining calm
spend 5 mins slapping a bag of rice switching from the back to the front of your hand
Drop 1 dollar in pennies on the ground and then try to flip them all over as fast as you can and keep trying to beat your time
Everyday throw 100 kicks off of each leg
Have someone whack you with moderate strength across the solar plexus a few times once a week.
Practice your joint manipulation against a young supple tree branch

There are shortcuts.
You can train three hours a week and plateau.
Or you can go outside, duel people for five hours straight and become a truly awesome fighter.
If you don't turn into a cripple or die that is. Or get PTSD.
Urgency is one hell of a teacher. The question is if you should approach him with a task that involves consciously causing injuries.

You do know that nowadays combatjet pilots use simulators for training, don't you?
