Austin was a very competent technician. A well above average worker that obviously changed his style after his injury and because mat wrestling and a more technical style don't work for the Austin character. So yes, he is a very underrated "wrestler" from a craft point of view.

his psychology and charism though are the absolute cream of the crop that has ever come about in the wrestling biz. He was no fluke.
