Bone recluse
looks like a skeleton to me op
Where are you located?
Kind of think badger, but I am not confident.
Anymore photos? Especially the teeth and feet.

its a dog
Ignore everyone else. It's a raccoon.

Notice how short and sloped the front of it is.
It's not a dog, weasel, opossum or badger.

looks like some sort of bones to me

I almost thought raccoon, but badgers do also have short/sloped skulls (however, just noticed the indentation and curve characteristic of raccoons).
For some reason it seemed bigger than a raccoon to me, but I'm really bad estimating size without proper scale/reference.

I'd say its a badger skeleton

They may look similar but I assure you it is not.
If you look closely, you can see both the front and back paws. Those are raccoon feet and claws. Badgers have paw pads and very long nails. Pic related.

And raccoon foot for comparison. OP's animal is a raccoon. It has leathery feet rather than individual paw pads.
Since there is still flesh on the carcass, it probably isn't all old. Maybe a few weeks depending just when the creek dried up.

Yeah, I asked for pics of the feet because I wasn't sure on them. I wasn't sure if they were rotted or more coon-like.
OP should snag that skull, tho. Looks in good shape.
