If you want a dog that looks like a wolf then try one of these breeds instead:
Alaskan Malamute
Siberian Huskie
Canadian Eskimo
Tamaskan
Northern Inuit
Utonagan

I don't really want a wolfy dog though. Just the upright ears in a molosser type.

You could rescue or adopt one that's already been cropped.

2bh OP you should look at the things you're trying to get out of a dog and what you want the dog to be like, gauge your lifestyle, and do some breed questionnaires. I think the IAMS one even lets you narrow it down by aesthetics. I wanted a spitz breed forever--my entire life--then wound up with a rescue Shar Pei because she fit my lifestyle much better.
Worth checking out breed specific rescues and shelters, too. Tons of pointy eared friends waiting for homes.
This is precisely why I didn't get a doberman puppy. I like that sharp cropped ears look but I'm against mutilating dogs for vanity reasons. Not to mention it's illegal.
>liking a dog for it's ears
Fucking furfag. Get an Akita you weeb

Same. Cropped ears but undocked tails on dobermans and danes looks amazing but I wouldn't do it. Too bad pointed wars weren't bred to done since without them they barely recognize as dobermans to me.

Adopt one that's already been mutilated, faggot.
