Hi /an/. Do any of you have an idea what this insect is? I suspect it's some kind of larval form of something, but that's just a guess.
Location is in a bottomland hardwood forest in south-eastern Louisiana which has been under about a foot of water for at least a month. I found two of them (along with a shed exoskeleton from one of them) on a rope which I had left tied to a tree about four feet above the ground/water.

Here is a side view. It has six legs, and it would inch its posterior like a spare leg as it walked, kind of like an inch-worm does.
