should i get my pup a friend? I'm always so sad when i leave my pupper alone when i leave for work so i started taking her to a doggy daycare where she can run around wih other dogs, but when i go to pick her up she's always at the fence waiting for me. When I asked a staff about it they say that she does that all day. Do you think she'd be better off with a friend. Are two dogs really twice the work and money? Pic is of dogget, the name's Chocolate.
No.
If your dog is consistently waiting for YOU at doggy dat care and not socializing with the other dogs then she wants to be with YOU.
If you introduce a new dog to her home there's a 50% chance that she'll hate the situation.
If you have a friend or family member who has a dog and will let the dog over for a night or two so you can see how she handles it you can try that, but don't just jump into that.

Thanks, I'll take that into consideration. My neighbor is actually going on vacation for a week and needs someone to look after her pooch so i'll volunteer. Cheers

Sounds like a good plan. If they don't get along just make sure to separate them for however long your neighbors will be gone, or if they leave a house key keep her at their house and just go over there when she needs to go out or when she needs to eat.
Just make sure both dogs aren't stressed out.
