Nicknames usually include names of other animals, some of which rhyme or sound similar to his name, such as "ducky," "fishy" or "skarky." He seems to respond to those, but I can tell he is somewhat insulted and maybe dissapointed because he is not one of those animals and he will never be, therefore he will never live up to their standards, feeling like a failure compared to say, a shark. I've probably given my dog some sort of confused identity disorder.
