You mean a cat? Shibas are very independent and headstrong, making them difficult to train to working standards. They will learn new tricks, sure, but the vast majority will only perform if they feel like it.

Great pyranees have given me a similar impression, trainable but independent. Shibas, however, are also shit guard dogs and are mostly there for show.
