I absolutely love trees and I got my own property pretty much to plant lovely trees
Today I was tree browsing and was charmed by a handsome golden willow (pic related), willows are my all-time favorite tree and I could not wait to get that bad moffoe in the ground and dreamed about having a massive willow hanging over my house.
Now that the tree is planted i'm reading lots of stuff on the internet about how willows are the most awful tree and they have no place in a neighborhood, although there were lots around when I was growing up.
I planted the tree about 20 feet away from my house which I thought was plenty of room but some people are saying it will destroy everything within 100 feet and break all of your pipes.
Does anyone have any experience with large willows? Should I get rid of it now? or is it not really that bad?

Anybody here planted a pawpaw tree? I've got one and I'm not sure where I want to put it. Seems to be an understory tree but I don't want to plant them in the woods.

You need two to get pawpaws. They like shade so yeah the very edge of a treeline

Willow trees need lots of water.
Twenty feet might be a little close for when it gets bigger sure, but I would pay more attention to how close it is planted to your water, sewer, septic, or drain lines.

Don't believe a shit they tell.
I have a 30 meters tall Platanus occidentalis growing in front of my home, but my home is made of bricks and concrete, either way is the coolest shit ever feel like a I'm druid guy or something, all guest are in awe when they come to my house.
The only downside are the leaves, they drop so much, and you need to clean a lot, but they also made good for compost maneure so everything is balanced
pic related, almost looks like that when seeing from below

So long as it receives plenty of water near the tree, it's roots won't seek out and destroy your pipes.
