Are there any acceptable dog breeds for a apartment life?
Pugs? Frenchies? English bulldogs? only breed I don't want to mess with is chihuahua
personal experience/stories affirming or discrediting certain breeds for apartment life are appreciated
Greyhounds are supposed to make surprisingly good apartment dogs.

Brachy breeds get a lot of shit here because a lot of people think that continuing to breed them is unethical. Just throwing that out there because you might get shit on for mentioning them.
Many dogs can do well in apartments provided you walk them often and give them lots of play/stimulation so they don't destroy shit.
Any other qualities you really like in dogs you've met or anything you really want your dog to do? If you're just looking for a companion, most smaller breeds or a smaller dog from a shelter will do.
Just go to a shelter and adopt an older dog or ask if they have any that are low energy

An older dog may have trouble with stairs if they live somewhere without a lift, but otherwise, this is a really good idea. They're less likely to howl or destroy shit while their owners are gone. All they'll do is sleep while you're away.
