I would suggest a bird, they can be very sweet if handled correctly. If you've never owned a bird before then I would suggest something easy like a Budgie.

Naw but in all seriousness, birds are good but can have a bit of a care requirement and live a loong time.

Though there is the alternative of some badass looking chickens, and also doves.

Ferrets are pretty hyper, and I don't know about skunks.

it's an african serval. I dont know where you find a breeder but i would guess at least a couple grand as with any of these exotic animals

None of those aside ferrets are 'cuddly' and even then ferrets rather wrestle and run around.

Seriously. Just get a dog, cat, maybe a pair of ferrets, a rabbit, maybe a guinea pig or some rats.
