>cat has fleas
>keeps licking himself
>licks himself so much that he loses some hair
>give him flea medicine
>all fleas go away
>continues licking himself despite having no fleas
>hair doesn't grow back
How the FUCK do I make him stop licking himself, so his hair can grow back?

put some drops of tabasco on his fur? granted that might backfire when he feels an unquecnhable need to cleanse himself of the tabasco despite the pain
It may not be only from fleas. If he is creating or dinking from plastic, the bacteria infesting it could also cause this. My cat used to be mangy looking and scabby with cat acne and switching to glass or metal solved this.
Or he developed kitty OCD. I also had a cat with that and she licked her tail so much it fell off.
I had an issue with an itchy dog.
Turns out he has a pretty aggressive bacterial infection that needed antibiotics. I had to bathe him three times a week. He has a check up tomorrow

Put a cat collar on him, how new are you? Just make sure to get one that is suitable

Dude he probably still has fleas. The fleas are in your carpet, couch, any soft surface so if you haven't washed and vacuumed the fuck out of everything assume there are still fleas in the house.

We moved into a new house shortly after giving him the flea medicine, so I'm 99% confident that there are no fleas left.
>not one TAKE IT TO THE VET post
/an/ you are dead to me.

>the tail fell off
