>discovered baby bird that cat brought in last night
>this evening, heard chirping form unusual place while doing yardwork
>discovered nest built on top of metal roof to external washroom and under metal roof that covers the walkway to it
>there's a baby bird underneath that left its nest and is on the metal roof while chirping
So, I'm just supposed to leave it for the cat to kill when it falls off the roof, right?

Most birds don't hold as much value as a cat
The only birds with value imo is crows and ravens

Don't forget buzzards. I love those things.
The cat found the baby bird in the grass today.
I was outside when this happened so I locked the cat outside so he wouldn't drag the bird in like the last one.

Birds serve a purpose in the ecosystem. Your dumbshit cat does not, nor does any "domesticated" cat.
Also you seem to disregard tons of species of birds that are larger, live longer, and are smarter than your cat, like a lot of birds of prey. They are better at pest control, they are monetarily worth more, they are worth more (e.g. anything more than zero) ecologically.

Who says its not some bird species that is invasive?

>the cat is not

Who says OP doesn't live on some farm land and the cat is there to catch mice etc like a cat should?

Believe what you want.
I think the whole thread is low hanging bait anyway.
