Do you guys recommend any books or videos on how to own a dog properly? I was raised in a family where they could care less about properly caring for dogs and cats.

If it helps I have a full time job and am not home until 5 PM.

But they are pets, not baby Animals. I'm assuming since you said you're not home till 5 pm I'm assuming you work the normal 9-5 and not 4pm-5pm. I'm not saying you can't have a dog, but a baby puppy alone in the house for 5 hours won't be a good option for you.
