It should. Drain flies live and lay their eggs in the hair and fibers that get stuck in the drains. Get rid of that stuff and the flies usually leave completely or disappate.

I neglected my feather collection for a while and ended up with a carpet beetle explosion. I hate the little shits. I've put all my taxidermy, bones, and remaining feathers in the fridge for months at this point. I vacuum and yet I still see those fuckers around. I'm too afraid to display my collection again until they're ALL gone.
