My cat I've had for five years have been going outside unleashed since the first day I brought him home. He mainly stayed in my yard, but since this summer began, he's been crossing the streets and it has been worrying me. He almost got hit the other day and I fear bringing him out. What do /an/?

My cat was a stray, adopted her because she'd come to my window and follow me around outside, so she was used to being out, loved it really.
But I've been starting to ween her off it because like you, I'm afraid of cars and my hick neighbors pitbulls. I got a harness and a stake in the ground so now we're both happy.

You're right to worry, it's too easy for cats to be hit by cars. Maybe buy a cat harness + leash?
