Anyone else have goats? What breeds? Funny stories? Pic

I'd love to have some someday. Do you raise them for meat or milk, or just as pets?

Mostly milk, but the males are given away/sold as pets after they are neutered and dehorned. Nigerian dwarfs are great milkers but not good for meat. You want Pygmies if you want meat

We have a boar goat and a group that I forget the breed of. Boar goats are stinky but they're as fun as any other breed.

A goat ate my keys at the petting zoo last year. My house key specifically. I told the zookeeper but do you think it made it out ok?
They don't keep the same goats for long since they're constantly, wildly cranking out babies. Each time I was there was a new nanny giving birth or covered in afterbirth.

I wasn't even mad. The pregnant ones loved belly rubs and they all just laid on top of me for it. I smelled horrible but worth it.

Can anyone speak to the differences in raising goats to raising sheep?
