The terrarium is about 4 feet deep.
I don't think I can afford to replace 24 cubic feet of paper towels every few days.

Cedar is fucking shit for rodents. Especially because they drag their balls in it. Can you imagine dragging your balls in mulch for your entire life, every movement you make? Plus they have allergies to cedar oil.
