I have a sausage and he's big and ferocious. He's the only male dog I have in my pack though so he needs to prove himself I guess. He's pretty cool. He doesn't wear a collar and hates costumes.

OP, go rescue a shelter mutt, that will be part lab anyway, and see how she treats it. If she can't get over it not being a designer breed kick her to the curb and live life with a mutt best friend.
