I'd rather not buy live animals just to euthanize them.

Amateur taxidermist here. If you live in the US or Europe, there are dozens of fur wholesalers who can provide you with prepared skins. A quick Google should give you some.

Alternately you could phone your local professional taxidermist and ask for an apprenticeship. Mine was very nice and offered to give me some animals from her freezer to take home.

Just drive along the highway in poorer, more rural areas. You'll find cats, dogs, racoons, ect free for the taking.

Ya I live in a "poorer, more rural" area and those critters STINK.

Another thing I forgot to mention is you can buy frozen feeder rats and mice from pet stores. They're pretty boring but good practice before you go and throw away money on skins only to fuck up.

Can you buy whole rabbit at your butchers?

But other than that, I'm with >>2392167 .

You could try not being a creepy pathetic cunt. Might be a change for you.

No better place than taxidermy.net forum.
>>
>>2392107
Just get frozen feeder rats as a starter.
>>

why would he be pathetic over taxidermy?
creepy could be a slightly valid arguement but not pathetic

If you find them fresh (and whole--a lot of road kill is squashed or gory even when fresh,) that shouldn't be a problem. And if you look during the colder months, things stay fresher longer because of the low temperatures.

the job of a taxidermist is so creepy to think about
imagine a human taxidermy

This.

Legality aside, if you want fresh roadkill then cruise the streets around sunrise. Most animals get hit at night and the sooner you find them, the less they are smelly and gorey. I managed a melanistic squirrel with only some slippage due to it had been summer and found it in the day.

That guy's a faggot anyway
>>
>>2393019

We already have those
>>
>>2393019
>mummies
>the dude who made the Bodyworlds exhibition and others like him
>morticians
>the people who prepare cadavers for dissection at medical schools
>every medical museum ever

Human taxidermy is quite a huge thing actually, just the methods are different.
