Can anybody explain why there's a fuckton of honeybees on the wall at my jpb? There's nothing under the bees and I don't see a queen.

CUTE

Do you think they would have the queen out in the open?
>>2386814
Yes, if they are looking for a new place to establish a hive.
They have scouts going out and reporting back. When they find someplace suitable they will move on.
Someone splashed honey on the wall.

it was actually fresh semen

Here

Huh. Are you saying you can help them out? Good bees shouldn't just go to waste.
>>2386814
There's nowhere for them to hide her.
>>2386815
this
they swarm outside of their hive when they no longer have one, which may mean the queen left/died. don't bother them because they won't bother you

Call a local bee keeper and they will likely catch them for free.
Yes, they have a queen. When honeybees "swarm" in spring it is when a portion of the colony leaves to make a new nest. The old hive keeps the eggs and honey in order to raise a new queen while the old queen takes a large number of healthy workers to build a new one.
You/company won't have to hire an exterminator if you get a bee keeper to come over.

I got bees, but I want bees
I called a bunch of beekeepers and none are interested. I'm thinking I might catch them myself.
Is it generally legal to be a beekeepers within city limits?
