What is your favourite kind of cat? What kind of cat would you recommend for someone who doesn't have pets?

i would recommend not getting a cat

Feeder cats.
I don't know what my kind is but the vet said she's one of the short hair breeds can anyone tell me the species

That's just a normal shorthair.
Breeds mean even less with cats, aka means nothing unless you get a registered purebred.
Orange tabbies are my fave. I like mane coons too. Only because they usually just hang around and don't snuggle very often. I like to keep busy.
I like oriental long faces, never had that though. They say they are really vocal and angery.
I want a big cat so bad, like a Maine coon or a Norwegian or something

I love my tortie, she is pure evil to anybody who's not me though. Not aggressive, she pretends to be cute, but she attacks anyway. I don't get it.
Anyway they're supposed to be very affectionate but more high maintenence, that's definitely the case with me.
Black cats = best cats

Tortie is a color, not a cat breed.
If you're thinking about getting a cat, just go meet a bunch of shelter cats and tell the staff what you're looking for - affectionate, playful, laidback, whatever. The overwhelming majority of cats don't even have a breed, and even purebreds have been developed for relatively similar purposes ('this cat looks nice and is good at hunting mice and/or being a companion animal'), so the best way to gauge their personality is generally just to meet them instead of going by the fact they're a Romanian Rumpy Blue or a Curly-Tailed Balkanese or whatever.

This. I have a shelter cat and she is the most laid back cat I have ever owned, and the most adaptable (my wife and I lived in the city when we got her, then when we moved to the countryside our cat took to the outdoors the second we let her out of her carrier). For the sake of the animals I would definitely advise getting an adult cat, but if you adopt a kitten no one will fault you.
