This is a thread for people to post pictures of turbots.
It would be nice to build up a comprehensive collection.
It would also be nice if people could stick firmly to the topic for once - for example please don't post pictures of other animals (that aren't turbots), or pretend not to know what a turbot is, or post pictures of crap turbots.
Thanks!
So why did it evolve to be retarded?

They actually start out normal and then turn into ugly bottom dwellers, just like 4channers.
>>2378818
they evolved to be FLAT
>>2378833
They are different species.

Here we go... I knew it... people pretending to not know what the fuck a turbot is... I think you know very well what a turbot is. You can make up for this comment though by posting a picture of a nice turbot :)

Bet you've never seen a turbot picture as rare as this.
>>2378824
How long does it take for them to get from a hatchling like that to a fully grown?
>>2379012
they reach maturity after ~ 5 years

That looks like a very rare turbot indeed, nice.
Sorry, I don't have any pictures to hand, but here are some fun facts about the turbot: they are almost entirely flat with a disc-shaped asymmetrical body and long feelers, which are usually concealed on their underside but can be extended up to half a meter in length in order to attract mates.
They can be found in the North Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Baltic Sea, though have been known to travel far upriver in search of prey - they feed largely on small cats and foxes, and like alligators or pythons, eat infrequently, and are vulnerable to predators while digesting.
My favorite anecdote regarding turbots concerns a woman from Dundalk, who found one in her bathtub one evening. Experts were called in, but were unable to explain exactly how it had arrived in her tub - the best guess was that it managed fold it's body like a rolled up newspaper, and thus navigate the narrow pipes up into the bathtub. Why it did this though remains a mystery to this day.
What incredible fish!
Here's a nice turbot, from a nice angle too
