I've been having to put off feeding my wild birds for this past winter because of money issues but I recovered and I finally cleaned and refilled my feeders and now there is an entire flock of dark eyed juncos feeding regularly every day. I love these little guys.

Your juncos look different than ours. Yours are more black and ours are browner.

I love feeding birds! At my feeder I have seen juncos, cardinals, house finches, Brown headed cowbirds, mourning doves, house sparrows, and grackles.
Why won't the mockingbirds come to my suet feeder?

mockingbirds eat insects and fruit

Yes but everything I read says suet is the number one thing to attract them (as well as any other insect-eating bird) as it provides a lot of the nutrition they would get from insects. Plus this suet has fruit, nuts, and berries mixed in it.

>tfw no cardinals
There a couple different kinds of juncos, but they're all similar. Even after the cardinals leave, they're still there.
