Can someone explain to me why anyone would spend a couple hundred dollars just to aquire a cat? I just don't get it. I've seen the breed standards, there's about 3 lines or less regarding their personality, and there are only ever two different types of cats (friendly and not friendly) with two energy levels, yet everyone I talk to with pure breeds say their cat acts the opposite of how it's supposed to, so what's the fucking point? Is it that they want to spend a couple hundred dollars for a better chance at getting a friendly, lazy cat? Is it just for the looks, so they can get a cat that has a brown face and ears and a white body? Or is it so they can be a special snowflake and post images of their purebred bombay on instagram? It's all just fucking dumb to me
