If Ligers existed in the wild, do you think they would hunt in packs like their paternal species (lion) or solitary like their maternal species (tiger)?

thats edited isnt it

Yeah, the liger is shrunk down to about half it's usual size

Depends on the environment and available food.

An open field tend to be more preferred for pack hunters, while forest areas allow for better solitary hunting.

If the prey is large, pack hunting would be ideal. But if the prey is small yet plentiful, it would be best to live alone.

Is The Liger bigger than smilodon?

I don't know if it would fit any niche in nature but there are examples of hybrid animals that can do multiple niches, including some their parents can't. The hybrid iguana in the Galapagos for example, is born with strong claws that allows them to climb cacti to eat fruits, unlike their mothers who have to wait in the ground for the fruits to fall, but they also can dive to eat algae like their fathers do.

imho the liger would probably be ok living as a tiger, but I doubt it would be accepted in a pack of lions

Its too large so it would starve to death.

Ligers are too heavy to run for more than 80m anyway they wouldnt last long
>>
>>2363748
Liger is much much larger than the smilodon. Smilodon was smaller than a bengal tiger.
