This, also:

Yes, lions don't frack because of their deeply held conservationist beliefs.

Dumb ass should go hug a crocodile or a bear if they want to get along with other animals

Sorry but that is the proof that we are the most evolved species of the whole universe.

Tell that to invasive species that "naturally" choke out local species. We can learn so much about how progressive this is!

The funny thing is that those cases are freaks of nature and there still is a good chance they will end up eating each other.

But photosynthetic organisms started changing the planet from the nice, comfy carbon dioxide rich atmosphere to one filled with oxygen between 3.2 and 2.4 billion years ago. All humans are doing is trying to undo billions of years worth of ecological change brought about by plants.

Animals don't damage the environment remotely as much because they massively prefer crude methods and elbowgrease as a means to get stuff done.

Cats don't even like being in cars.

Dogs will do labour for people at quite efficient costs.

And squirrels and raccoons act as a clean up crew for us.

This is so monumentally absurd.

They abnormally act that way exactly because of humans training them to.

Even dogs, the one animal most capable of reaching out to and caring for other animals, are capable of extreme hostility, like gang mauling cats to death whenever they get the chance.
>>
>>2359173
Not necessarily, it happens with wild animals too.
There's usually a social animal in the couple then though. Like wolves or wild dogs.

It happens occasionally. The only relatively common examples of animals getting along, ie. standardised conventions, is when they develop alliances or such, in which case they're not being peaceful but have common targets, threats or whatnot.

>>2359266
But that's because we breed so ridiculously fucking many of them! If we found a way to re-engineer their intestinal flora to work better, then that issue could be properly managed.

humans do, indeed, do the most damage to the environment. we are also animals. we're products of evolution.

we're one of those species someone mentioned as having been 'too successful' and are fucking it all up for ourselves. we're going to kill ourselves off, and a good portion of the planet. but nature and evolution are just letting it play out like the dinosaurs. after humans have ruined the planet, only the toughest species will remain (mainly microscopic organisms and certain inverebrates) and something new will rise from the ashes. it's a natural cycle that's already happened many times before. humanity is only a page in the book of the earth.
>>
>>2359450
We are going to fuck up this planet, then go to another planet and fuck that up too. It's a never-ending cycle.
>>
>>2359466

>>
>>2359467
With technology advancing at the rate it is, we will find a way. NASA will make sure of that

>inb4 nasa is fake, a scam, etc.
>>
>>2359469
i doubt that. considering the only possibly habitable planet (the one recently discovered, TRAPPIST i believe?) takes something like 37 years for a shuttle to travel to-- to even make sure it is habitable in the first place-- this is not really a foolproof, secured plan.

colonizing a different planet is going to be extremely difficult, even if it is exactly what people are imagining: a fresh and 'untouched' earth. crops must be grown. animals must be raised. this all takes years of time as well and humans can't just live off astronaut rations.

i find colonization of a new planet highly unlikely, even 100 years into the future.

Nature isn't about fairness.
Feeding a captured animal is unnatural. The enclosure is unnatural. The domesticated mouse are unnatural. It has nothing to do with nature so don't compare it to nature.

Looks like they need some lessons about biological invasions. Then again they'd blame the humans (partly rightfully) and advocate for the new "biologically enriched" ecosystems just because they don't want to cull the invaders.

Morbid curiosity aside, isn't life feeding good as it would stimulate hunting behaviour and keep them entertained (pretty much like giving a dog one of those toys that you can fill with food)?

Most people feed their snakes f/t because its safer and doesn't require you to torment another living animal
Besides snake gotta eat.
Why are you even on the animal board if you consider any of them monsters, they simply are animals they never try to pretend they arent, like steve irwin said "crocodiles are easy they try to kill and eat you people are harder. Sometimes they pretend to be your friend first."
