Why a pitbull? I never understood. There are plenty of other breeds that show plenty of affection and don't have a randomly activated murder switch (HURR BAD OWNERS MY PITBULL WOULDN'T HURT ANYONE). If you want a guard dog that can hold it's own there are plenty of others who are way less aggressive unless there's a genuine threat.

Don't be a fool OP, genetics play a crucial role, otherwise we woudn't have breeds that excel at certain tasks. Want to rescue a dog? Shelters are full of breed mixes that don't include agressive breeds.
