Hey /an/,
Cat brought in this kitten today, not sure how old it is, or really how to take care of it. The mom isn't interested in the baby, and the baby isn't interested in the bottle, and I' m not sure if it's full or it doesn't understand. Please help? Google isn't quite doing its job.

Its easier to feed them with a dropper which you can get from a pharmacy. You will have to google what type of milk to use, and the frequency of feeds.

I bought a bottle feeder from Petsmart, with a nipple, plus some milk made for kittens, which states the amounts I need. What I want to know is how old it is, and why it isn't eating.
I heard something about light belly massage clockwise
cat moms lick like that to stimulate gut moving
you'd better to search that to confirm

Can't be more than month old.
Probably doesn't want to eat due separation anxiety. I dunno, carry him around until it gets used to your warmth.
could be dehydrated too

The eyes aren't even open so probably only a few days to about a week old.

What this anon said
My mom used to foster kittens around this age and little belly massages usually helped them poop and also helped them gain an appetite.
It's also a good idea to get in contact with a rescue if you don't plan on keeping it or even if you have any further urgent questions considering this board is so slow.

suckling reflex > separation anxiety
A non-suckling kitten is usually too weak or sick to suckle.

If it wants to be an ungrateful nigger-cat, then let it die
it's probably rip but
How's it going OP
