That depends on exactly how big these animals become.
You need a quite high caliber bullet to pierce rhino or elephant hide and depending on exactly how much you scale up the cat or mouse it could lead to them being very hard to kill.
Especially if by space magic, you can scale up insects and arachnids without them having trouble moving or breathing and end up with an inch thick chitin shell that needs to be pierced.

A huge pet cat would be exactly like a pet tiger. Big cats are only really bad pets because they are so damn big. Aside from spraying piss on stuff they really do act similar to domestic cats if they are friendly.
