I am confused as to why birds do this, I have heard a few things ranging from showing affection, having a rage fit to a kink in their neck and google has brought up shit results when I tried to specifically search, so bird lovers, what the hell is this??

They do it to feed their babies. It works the food back up from their gullet or whatever.

It looks like it's just having fun. That's a happy bird. Regurgitating looks different, it's more of an upwards or bobbing motion. This bird is just rocking out.

I can back up the regurgitation hypothesis. My parents' parrot does this and regurgitates his food to reenjoy it. Pretty gross but he seems to REALLY enjoy it and even seems drunk after doing it sometimes
