So my fucking garden is full of this little shits. They regularly enter the house and eat whatever they find digestible. If i apply poison and kill the queen in the nest will it fuck up the ecosystem of the garden (by fucking up i mean maybe other insects will proliferate)?

I've seen people poor liquid aluminium down their nests, and it creates a wonderful casting. If you want some cool art, and don't mind melting a bunch of baby ants, this would probably be a pretty cool, non-toxic way of dealing with the issue.

I'm going to use a ant killing gel. My question is if the elimination of the ants will cause other insects to multiply and cause damage to the garden.

Thats not how it works, unless your neighbors are literally swarming with insects. Ants are not devouring 100% of the nutrients In your yard

Are you fucking retarded he's asking if killing the ants will cause other insects to grow in population and fuck with his garden
Release a bunch spiders and praying mantises and centipedes and other predator bugs

If you freeze them just till they stop moving u can tie them w a string to plants and theyll just be there eating bugs forever probably
We used to have good ant powder but it was environmental hazard so taken out of the market. Only good new nature friendly powders who dont work.
Buy powders try some the one they carry home most is the best and will kill all ants most likely.

Im sorry I just read the nonsense posts about how to kill ants. Thought is was because of his tiles in the garden or something along those lines.
Ants will defend aphids from other insects so also attack/deter lady bugs and other insects eating aphids.
But aphids are still very harmful. So remove aphids ants would be gone too.
Too many ants is lots of food source find it. Maybe aphids or other foods. Less food less ants
Also you can powder a couple of the colonies or all of them. It doesnt really matter for the garden. If you kill all there will just be no ants for a while. They will come back eventually when a new colony makes a new home coming from the neighbors alike.
Anyone know what kind of spider this cute lil guy is?
