Sea life has this nostalgic charm to me for some reason.
Maybe because I live in the Bay Area and watched Spongebob and Finding Nemo when I was younger.
There's just something relaxing about gentle waves and aquatic life.

Somewhere on my old drive I have a folder of pigment mutations. Some lobsters are blue, white, opal, yellow, orange, pied, spilt like that, etc. I know there's other species of colorful ones but they appear to be the same species of regular lobster. Pic and link related, which explains a little.

When I was a little kid my dad would take me to a grocery store in L.A that had a really nice tank of lobsters, spacious, active. More like an aquarium than grpcery, anyways the guy there would always take one out the tank and let me pet one when I asked. When they blink it's cute. And they're p soft.

Those shitty little boxes you can find at novelty places are shit. Crickets and grasshoppers especially, it's all umchewable legs but they taste good roasted. Ants taste like nothing to me.

Worms and grubs are great though. They absorb flavors and aren't terrible on their own but they can really add to a dish. Good for protein too. I don't eat them often. Just occasionally a few when feeding my animals. I don't really like the idea of eating them alive though even if they're just bugs.

I'd like to know what giant spiders taste like but I've only seen oven roasted ones and it seems like they would just be too dry and crunchy. Same with scorpions. Never tried cockroach either. Something with too much of a squish on its own is a little off putting and seeing people shovel live cockroaches in their mouth is disgusting.
