Aliens have come to "awaken" an animal species of your choice to the intelligence level of humans as well as modify them/give them tools to be able to navigate and contribute to our world.
Which animal species do you pick?
Hard Mode: No domesticated pets
Nightmare Mode: Livestock
Either elephants or large wales.
They already seem almost sage like.
Horse
I'd finally be able to complete the master plan that way.

Please elaborate

this is an interesting idea, especially considering an elephants memory and that both of those animals can live a pretty long time.
part of me is curious about giving it to smaller animals; imagine nyc if rats were suddenly as smart and caprable as people. also would it be cruel to give this power to animals with naturally short lifespans?

>wasting this gift on microscopic shit
I think octopus/squid would be most solid choice
>>2315139
with their short lifespans they won't have enough time to learn a lot, so human levels are wasted
>>2315129
They live for literally forever
Think about it,microscopic organsims that can survive any thing(including THE VOID OF SPACE),have our level of intelligence, and has navigation tools
When we find a way to communicate with them, shit gets crazy
>>2315145
And what purpose could they possibly serve?

nanomachines son

These things could perform fucking heart surgeries by letting themself get injected into a body and remove vein blockages or some shit without any dangerous incisions.

Normal mode: sheeps
Hard mode: (Hooded) crows
Nightmare mode: black people :^)
Agree with whales. I think a bow headed whale that's lives over 100 years has at least three interesting stories. Plus they can't take over anything besides wrecking boats.
wasps

They're already wasted on you.

Small fast adapting thinking things that take up almost no resourses coming up with tecnology, and new concept? What use wouldn't they have?

I would make frogs our new amphibian overlords
