Dumb question about the 3 or 5 day feeders.
People say they cloud the water etc...
Mine take forever. Break down though as I have large chunks of limestone in the tank so the three day ones take 4 or more days to finally breK down.
Any suggestions for alternative feeders
just get a timed feeder

Your fish will be fine 3-5 days without food

Tetra makes a vacation feeder. It's just flake food in some kind of putty like form and you just stick it to the side of tank. But do a water change, feed a decent amount, and they'll be good for a week to a month without food.

This. Unless you're leaving for weeks, you don't need a feeder.
They will nip at plants a bit, maybe remove the most expensive ones temporarily.
