There are plenty of dog breeds that are larger, stronger, and/or faster than a wolf. Some were even bred specifically for the purpose of hunting/fighting wolves.

hulk is cute but there's no way he could fight a wild grey wolf. his bone structure just seems so tiny. he's just a heavy, muscular dog with a pit bull's smaller frame. i'll admit though his smaller neck would be harder for a wolf to attack.
