help me optimize my P. horrida tank please
What would you do to make it look better?

Yeah, a square footprint is preferable.
Top opening of course and you'll probably have to make due with a single ventilation area, so mold could be a problem but it's also a positive since it lets you keep the humidity up that pedes need.
Also I've seen some builders that use this really fine metal mesh for ventilation, you should avoid that, any pede over 15 cm will get through that eventually.
Centipede tank has a bunch of really tiny flies buzzing around inside. They are in some of the other tanks, but not this many. I haven't seen him in a while, but a roach I had placed in there dissapeared. What should I do? Also how do I get rid of the flies?

Good news. Centipede has resurfaced and took a roach today.
This is my first time on /an/, so here we go. I found this little spiky ant-like insect in a group of others identical in my little sister's pumpkin(not sure if it helps but the pumpkin has melted crayons all over). There were 8-10 of them and they've been there for a couple days. I haven't found holes or anything bugs would've caused. I want to know what exactly they are and where more of them might be and how harmful they might be(if they sting or bite). More pictures coming up.

forgot to mention they look most like Gminatus australis, but might be something else, depending on your location
HELP ME
've been finding about 6 earwigs a day for the past 3 weeks in my new apartment. even after the exterminator came and sprayed outside.
I just fucking STEPPED on one and its creeping me out. Why the fuck is there so many in this basement apartment?
Half a dozen EARWIGS a day IS NOT NORMAL. Ive seen maybe ONE a year previous to this
HOW DO I GET RID OF THESE FUCKING THINGS
ONE ACTUALLY FELL OUT OF MY ROUTER THE OTHER DAY

>Predatory Reduviidae use the long rostrum to inject a lethal saliva that liquefies the insides of the prey, which are then sucked out. The saliva contains enzymes that digest the tissues they swallow. This process is generally referred to as extraoral digestion.[2] The saliva is commonly effective at killing prey substantially larger than the bug itself.
Hmmm nah
>>2264559
Practice. Start with dead ones. Learn about their anatomy.
>>2264519
Yeah, small black ones. But I haven't used any outside soil.
>>2264563
Yes, those are definitely assassin bugs. Just because you found them in a pumpkin doesn't mean they were eating it.
Leaf spider recently discovered in China.

half a dozen a day? I've seen two dozen on a single potted plant at night.
OK it's not indoors, so maybe you have a point.
Spraying does nawtting for earwigs, they are tough motherfuckers. You could collect them and feed them to outdoor lizards and make instant friends, or just keep liquidating them and eventually they'll stop. They're in ur router feelin safe while they sleep. but they must be eating something nearby. Refrain from slobness if you are being slovenly. Get house centipedes. Use hand taser or plasma lighter for frying.
Otherwise just live with them, they're harmless. The drawback is that if they do get in your ear, unfortunately they won't clean it out. But you hear some interesting white noise rhythms.
bump
Had to move this Oryctes owariensis and his 3 friends into artificial pupating cells because their original pupating chambers got infested with nematodes and mites. Next time I refrigerate the substrate to kill the fuckers before I dump it in my grub containers.
