my cat recently had to have his back leg amputated. I've been giving him his pain and antibiotic meds twice a day on time and its been around 5 days. The vet said that there might be some leakage but today I saw some pus and I was wondering if I should call my vet or if its normal?

What is wrong with you?

What does it smell like? If it stinks, prolly best to take to vet. It may just be part of the healing process, pus looking stuff formed in some surgery incisions I had, forgot what it was called but it was totally normal and part of the process.
Either way I'd probably call the vet to make sure, maybe book an appointment pending on what they say in the phone call.

its been 5 days and he's already trying to run around and play like normal, he's still starting fights with my bigger cat and jumping on shit, losing the leg didnt change shit about him besides him wanting me to scratch his head more. Im not putting down my cat if I can help it even if I have to go a little light on spending for a month or two
If it doesn't stink it's fine.
Doesnt appear to be infected. If it starts to swell or stink then probs take him in.
Poor kitty cat. Can we see a picture of him?
