Who's the most radical animal rights activist who's ever gotten into power?
>>2260391
none. you could ask which people in power had regard for certain animals.
hitler liked dogs. ancient egyptians worshiped cats.
Im sure there are more examples like that. but full blow tree hugging environmentalists? haha you wish
"power" ultimately comes from the masses, which are homo sapiens. so yeah, fuck everything but homo sapiens.
the only reason politicians nowadays are more friendly towards the environment is because more and more people are realizing that humans actually need the fucking environment to be happy and function

I think you'll find a couple of green dictators in the ex-commie islands like the Seychelles for example. Their entire economy depends on tourism so they need the wildlife to stay the same
>>2260413
>tourism
>animal rights activism
pick one
>>2260417
I don't know what you're trying to say. Are you implying that it's somehow bad to earn money from wildlife preservation? You do realize that tourism is the only thing financing the conservation efforts? If nobody earned any money from it then they would probably just destroy it.
>>2260391
National socialists probably.

Correct, Hitler's NSDAP were the first government in the world to implement animal welfare laws, and to hold vegetarians, conservationists and environmentalists in high positions of power. Really makes you think.

>ancient egyptians worshiped cats.
and dogs, crocs, hippos, a few ibis species and Dung beetles to name just a few
They even bred anymals just for the sake of mummification/funerary goods/religious offerings, this was a pretty lucrative business aparently

also Hitler built the autobahn, which as we know today is the absolute worst when it comes to destruction of natural habitats.
his famous words were "our people need space". Nowhere have I ever heard him concerned that anything other than people also needs living space
and trump certainly is the absolute worst outcome for anyone who likes animals and nature

Regarding infrastructure - yeah habitat fracturing is incredibly damaging, but unfortunately unavoidable in any pursuit of modernisation and ease of transport. And Lebensraum actually referred to expanse of German settlement eastwards into Soviet territory (and removal/replacement of ethnic Russians in those lands), as opposed to simply urbanising German soil. The Nazis were completely ecofascist in their respect for the environment, compared to their contemporaries.
Trump being bad for the environment... you know what, I'm not actually convinced. Replacing unregulated Chinese industry with regulated American industry could only help reduce emissions and pollution. And overpopulation is the single-most damaging anthropogenic factor of all time - decreasing immigration into America can only help them mitigate the effects of too many people, and help decrease pressure to build more and destroy remaining green space.

>also Hitler built the autobahn, which as we know today is the absolute worst when it comes to destruction of natural habitats.
the autobahn was specifically constructed to highlight the natural beauty of the landscape and tunnels or reshaping the landscape to construct the road right though it were avoided
mentally challenged people have trouble getting into power
