sup /herp/,
I want a giant ass lizard, what's a good giant ass lizard that won't try to eat me and is hardy in care?
I know Green iguanas aren't for beginners since they are pretty sensitive.
Depends, how much space do you have and what is your budget?

>how much space do you have
About 2 meters or 6,5 feet in all directions
>what is your budget?
Just for the lizard? 200€ I guess.

In that case the answer is "none".

Lizards cant eat you because reptiles dont chew their food they try to rip off your flesh then swallow it down meaning if you are bigger than the lizard it cannot eat you at all.

None.

>Komodo dragons don't eat deer
There are no beginner suitable large reptiles. The easiest, relatively speaking, would be a columbian boa. Boas are intermediate difficulty.

A female iguana could work, just do an absolute shitton of reading on diet and lighting, and make SURE you get a female. (small igs cannot be sexed, don't listen to anyone telling you otherwise.)

crocodiles confirmed for unable to eat people, because we are too big to be swallowed whole

>Crocodiles are lizards
Consider: pyxie frog. Nature's fat bastard consumer of worlds.

I'd get one of them since my roaches are breeding in the millions by now but I don't think I could handle their croaking.
