Just bought a Ball Python for my first snake pet. Kinda noobed it up and there isn't enough heat, it sits at about 75f due to a small red reptile heating lamp. The poor little homie is pretty stressed as is, the heating pad isnt that effective I need a bigger one, will head to the store tomorrow.
Tl:DR Not enough heat, what do till stores open.

Give him something warm like a hot water bottle or something at the right temp? I don't know, I dont have a snake.
As long as it is 75 you're fine until tomorrow. It'd only be an issue if it was actually getting cold

Balls are stupid and will burn themselves on anything.
Be sure the heat lamp is far enough away and the new heat pad doesn't cause any hot spots.
Check often.

this is why /an/ recommends that you set up the enclosure first and then go get the pet

mine is around 75 and is doin fine
he does have a heat pad and hide though, where he spends 90% of his time anyways
don't get a bright light, they hate that shit
get one of the ceramic heaters
My bearded dragons lost their bulb last night, ordered them a mercury vapor but it won't be here for 4 days, might go out and get something for backup
sucks mang
He should be fine for a while, just make sure you don't feed him until you've got a stable temperature gradient in the tank.
Also, go with heating pads over lamps, lamps will dry out the enclosure.
